Clients are stuck in a "Connecting" state when they try to connect to a DirectAccess server that is running on Windows Server 2012 R2

You have a DirectAccess server that is running on Windows Server 2012 R2. If the DirectAccess server is under heavy load conditions, clients may be stuck in a Connecting state when they try to connect to the DirectAccess server.

Cause

This problem occurs when DirectAccess server memory usage is high. This causes the DirectAccess server to stop accepting new IPHTTPS connections.
